Babies smell great, they're cuddly, and they have the squishiest of toes. But babies who do not sleep, can be challenging. Non-sleeping babies are generally fussier than babies who sleep well. And when they're not sleeping, you aren't either. Sleep training is the process of teaching healthy sleep habits to help your baby learn how to fall asleep independently and stay asleep through the night. One of the many reasons why babies have a hard time sleeping is because they have developed a dependence on "sleep props". Sleep props refer to the ways babies have learned to fall asleep using assistance instead of developing their own skills.
